MIDDLESBROUGH CROQUET CLUB

GENERAL INFORMATION 2010

THE CLUB:    Registered with the Croquet Association and affiliated to Croquet North, the club was formed in 1988 at Ormesby Hall (NT), moving to Prissick Sports Park from 1998-2006 and is now in Albert Park. There are around thirty-five members, who meet for friendly games, coaching and season-long club competitions. MCC takes part in inter-club matches around the North East. We have ample equipment and information about all forms of croquet. New players are always very welcome! The club has a social programme during the winter, including regular indoor croquet in Norton.

LOCATION:
ALBERT PARK, Park Road South, Middlesbrough TS5 6LE. From the South, leave A19 at A1130, taking 3rd exit towards Middlesbrough centre, bearing left to join Acklam Road (A1032). After a mile (at lights) bear right down Ayresome St. At Linthorpe Road, turn right at lights, then first left and park in Park Road South. From the North, leave A19 just after fly-over, taking A66 towards Middlesbrough; keep in left lane and leave at next slip-road. Almost all around roundabout, then take A1032 to traffic lights and turn sharp left down Ayresome St (as above). From the West leave A66 after the A19 interchange, taking slip road to large roundabout and take 5th exit to A1032 (as above). The two lawns are near the Sports Pavilion (01642-230919), beyond the tennis courts. Cars are not allowed in the Park. Leave nothing valuable visible in your car.
